Our Story

Genesis

I love working with artists and supporting the creative process.

Rich Luhr is the publisher of Airstream Life magazine and an expert in all things Airstream.

We merged our passions and skills to create the world's first online gallery dedicated to art that features the iconic design of Airstreams, and a lifestyle of travel and adventure on the open road.

Imagination

Albert Einstein famously said, imagination is more important than knowledge. Airstream founder Wally Byam knew this. He knew that the Airstream travel trailer he was selling was more than just a product. As he put it, it was a "way of life." A way of life that connected strangers, created community, and allowed people to use their imagination to enjoy what he called "trips of a lifetime."

It's in that spirit of imagination and connectedness that we launched the Globetrotter Gallery. We bring the imaginations of Airstream artists - and the fascination and beloved design of Airstream travel trailers - to life.

Journey

We launched Globetrotter Gallery in mid-2020 with a core group of Airstreamer artists whose works had been featured on covers of Airstream Life magazine. In late 2020, we added a few more artists, as well as decor and gifts that featured Airstream inspired art and images.

In early 2021, we set out to grow what is the world's only art gallery dedicated to Airstream inspired art, decor, and accessories.

Join Us

We'll be adding artists and artworks to the gallery, of course. But we also plan to educate Airstream lovers, art enthusiasts, and collectors about the history of Airstream's iconic design, as well as the latest doings in Airstream inspired and other art genres. We'll also inspire you with artist conversations, ideas from innovative thinkers and designers, and curated content that prompts you to think and live more creatively.

Sign up for our email list at the bottom of any page in the gallery, and we'll get things rolling.
